10+ years ago you could get away with saying naughty no no words like "this is epic porn food!" or "I'm dead serious!" or even "Don't do that, that's career suicide!" - nevermind calling people niggers and faggots - and still get your youtube pennies.

Nowadays it's completely insane. Sorry, it's completely mental health. Some fuckin fitness youtube censored the word "drowned" in his video. That was when I knew we had crossed over into clown world.

Ironically, you can thank AI and automated systems for youtube being like that now. Saying the name of a thing, regardless of context, is just as bad as actually showing the thing and/or doing the thing.

Technically, not really. They are not monetizing slop. This has always been their policy. The amount of AI used in the video does not, by itself, matter. Even if the video is fully AI generated it can still be monetized. As long as the video provides "value" to the viewer, it will be fully monetized. The content must also be original and transformative. And it's likely that a greentext channel will be deemed too derivative by Youtube.

TLDR: You're not really going to make much money unless your video gets over 10,000 views and you gain 1,000 subscribers right away. Even then, if you're just trying to make money, you'd probably do better taking screenshots of stuff and posting them on Twitter. That said, you'd only be pulling in about $8, and it's not like people are searching for 4chan content a lot unless you're making Internet Historian-style videos. Still, you should do it if you enjoy it—it's a great way to get some basic practice, which is why I do it.
