So I drop my roommate off occasionally to work at his McDonald’s job. My roommate hasn’t been getting much hours cause their manager is a bitch I’m not sure. I drop them off they call me to tell me to come IMMEDIATELY get them because they are suspended. I ask them why they are suspended and they said “it’s not his fault but they flagged everybody for a shift because they person who inspected the fucking place said they failed whatever the fuck inspection was taken place”. This fucking sets me off. So now my fucking roommate isnt working for a fucking week because the McDonald’s doesnt want to give him work days cause of a suspension??? Is this fucking normal in fast food this is literally insane?

Tldr:my roommate is suspended from their fast food job for 5 days and I’m fucking stressed and pissed about it. Is this fucking normal for fast food? I work in a completely different field. I’m stressed about money because of this.

Lesson learned, the hard way: Vet future potential roommates by requesting the contact details of their former landlord and talking to that former landlord to find out why they left/are leaving.

Where do you live? If your friend is contracted those hours he should get paid still, being suspended because the building isn't up to code is BS your roommate has done something at work to get suspended otherwise they would keep paying as it's not his fault he can't work.
