How do I make myself focus on anything before just stopping and going back on my phone? Even on medicine I'm still like this.

>>ADHD
For people with ADHD (like me) there should exist something called hyperfocus, which means that while we lack focus on most things we can focus more than everyone else on things that matter to us the most.
For example I enjoy history and especially esotericism, so I started reading books about such subjects. I started doing it half a decade ago after finishing school and never stopped since. I read around 1 book per week on average. At first I had to read the same phrases multiple times to grasp the meaning but it was only a matter of time for me to become a good reader. Now I sometimes read aloud or listen to audiobooks or read in my mind except I focus on the words, which means that I understand much less the words I'm reading but by focusing in this way I practice a bit of mindfulness which is normally too hard to do, and indeed it's so hard I can rarely do it.
Can't help you with autism and the rest though. Have you tried reading about things that interest you the most?

I have and I've even tried writing about the things I like. Even still, I can barely focus on anything for more than a paragraph at most before stopping and looking at my phone or just pacing around doing nothing. I want to write; draw, do all kinds of things, but I can never make myself.

Yes, I've tried all of it. I just exercised yesterday. Nothing. I've tried socializing. Nothing. I've tried yoga. Nothing.

All of these strategies have never worked for me. None of them help me focus on things I want to get done. I'm still just pulling out my phone for that dopamine rush.

Changing your brain isn't an instantaneous thing. You've gone your entire life forming deep neural connections. They don't get erased the first few times you try to change. And willpower only goes so far. It's actually very important for an antisocial sperg to socialize, even though it's painful. You need normal behavior modeled for you, because you will never figure it out on your own. And it gets less painful over time, but you have to stick with it. If you do, one day you will find yourself able to tolerate or even enjoy it.

So, again, my advice is to quit being a stubborn retard and just listen to what I'm telling you. I'm also a sperg myself. Do you want to end up a maniac like Chris-chan or do you want to be a normal, non-delusional person who can respect himself and be respected by others? Make your choice.

It makes your brain more normal.

Right now the most important thing you need to do is detox from stimulation for a few days. But long-term, having a neurotypical person to model after is the most important thing.

The problem is that all of this advice are things that I've heard before multiple times and each time I have tried them, they never ever work. This is something someone who doesn't have ADHD does and then thinks it works for someone who does. I know because I tried all the common "cures," diet changes, increased sunlight exposure, exercise dopamine fasts, conditioning, all of it, and none of it worked. My problem isn't that my brain is dysregulated by society and bad food and whatnot, it's that my brain is genetically programed to have lower resting dopamine, something that isn't affected by conditioning either positively or negatively. You cannot fix it through simple regulation. Adderall doesn't cause me to "lock in for 6 hours straight" normal Adderall doesn't even last more than 3 hours, and extended release capsules barely last 6 hours. The conditioning also does nothing for the dysregulation of yes/no signals to the brain that causes clumsiness and impulsivity in people with ADHD

>>33444910
You have to be able to disengage from tasks at some point or else you burn yourself out. I've hyper focused on stuff before and spending all day with the same thing on your mind just makes actually working on it harder because your brain reaches a maximum level of fulfillment in a sense that leads to burnout.

You can focus without hyperfocus, having a more moderate level of focus is healthier because it leads to a more sustainable level of concentration. I don't have ADHD so I don't have advice for that side of things but it's better to maintain focus on a more moderate level than constantly thinking about the same thing all day.
>>33445655
>Using my phone is inherently stimulating, while drawing isn't.
I've had this same problem but with writing, it takes more mental effort than the short-term dopamine hit of scrolling 4chan. Most of the Internet and social media is designed to drag your attention away. If you can find an activity to ground yourself in the right level of sensory stuff going on (some autists need more and others need less, I don't know what category you'd fall under) it could help. My problem is that I end up using up too much focus on stuff that I shouldn't and end up becoming mentally fatigued.

>I socialize plenty online
that's an illusion or diluted contact at best. You don't have proximity, eyecontact, body language, sensory contact, physical contact. People are half (?) visual animals, and 80% of their communications is nonverbal.

get your dopamine in healthy way. Go hikes, where literally every corner is an entire episode of animal planet. Do something creative in 2 or 3D. Draw, sculpt, carve. Create.
Talk to people wo are understand you. Go in ADHD or ASD groups. Discuss, argue, debate. If your brain cannot stop, then use it for something useful or something that makes you feel better.

>I don't know how to hyperfocus on drawing or anything that I actually want to do
try distracted focus. Put on some music that stimulating enough but not complicated to distract too much. To me it's ambient, postrock or witchhouse depends on mood. Sometimes just classical piano like Brian Crain or Lidovico Einaudi. Music helps. Somehow it stimulates parts of the brain that nothing else can trigger. I don't say it will work, but worth a try

>You would instead be drawing right now, if it was what you wanted to do
not Op but I used to like drawing and still want to yet do'nt do. For drawing you need a special niche mood when you look inwards to see why what and how you do, but not too much to follow the process . You need time and trigger too. There is a huge diffference between "I want to draw2 and "I want to draw this"

That's literally what I'm trying to do rather than rely on my phone for dopamine.

set out timer. My exgf had the same problem and she dowloaded an app that you can set timer to reach certain pages (mostly soc media) 10 min a day then you get blocked out until next day.

you don't like drawing if you're only doing it to try to spite anonymous posters on a mongolian throat whistling subreddit because they call you out on your bullshit of being a full-time internet arguer

You can still like drawing and want to spite other people because they think they know you better than you know yourself.
