I'm a 4th-year college student and I'm supposed to be graduating soon, but I still have 3 exams to retake this summer.

Problem is that I've spent the entire month playing video games and shitposting on 4chan. It's like I'm glued to my PC and can't do anything else. I've tried to turn off my computer, but I end up feeling extremely bored/lonely.

Now I've only got 1 week left, and I'm freaking out because I haven't even started studying.

you should study without pressure and take the exams - not to pass, but to take notes for the next semester when you retake them. write down every single question from memory in case you only get the final grade later. also, keep improving on your study notes for those three exams over the next half year. make it a habit to go through the notes every day and add some aspect of the problem you have not yet thought about, or apply what you learned in a new context, basically making a new version of the exam.

since we are talking about just three exams, make good use of your time and also do internships in the next semester.

good luck.

Put yourself in a environment where you don't have a computer, like come back to your parent's house or something, or use an appblocker like cold turkey blocker (you can set up blocks for only certain parts of the day to force you to work for a few hours).

There are probably three causes for your addiction:
>Displacement activity
When you're under stress, you start doing primitive activities that you used to enjoy. You can read more about this on Wikipedia.
>Habit
Do you have some kind of habit that makes you go to 4chan, and then you continue to scroll endlessly because you're still interested in this activity, or for the first or third reason. Try to find out when exactly and why exactly you go to 4chan, what you feel
>Coping mechanism
You experience negative emotions, but try to get rid of them by browsing 4chan. Scrolling shuts your brain up and you become fully engaged. Try coping with other things, any activity except emotional coping. The closer it is to solving the problem that is causing you stress, the better. But it could even be cleaning the room

In all three cases you can do this:
>Try to find out your trigger points, at what exact moment you log on to 4chan and why, why, what kind of feelings you are experiencing
>At this very moment try to be as aware and feel everything that you feel as possible and analyse your actions neutrally and thoroughly, imagine that you are looking at your room from above
>You're trying to mobilise all your willpower not to go on 4chan. Resisting urge is easier and most likely more successful than trying to stop scrolling, catch at least one moment when you are not scrolling and grab that moment with a death grip
>Replace the activity with any other, the main thing is less degenerative and harmful, even if you feel unpleasant in the process. Endure boredom and endure unpleasant sensations, learn to tolerate pain

Endless scrolling and porn «addiction» are just symptoms of shitty life, health issues or loneliness, and also not classed as an addiction. Don't look for the easy way out. Even the smallest step to solve the problem will reduce stress. Do what you have to do, there are no cheat codes or easy ways, just make an effort or fuck off
