How do I do stuff that should be fun but hard to get into? For me these things are any type of media except video games. I'm trying to expand the things I do during my free time but I always land on video games which should be fine for me because all types of media are of equal value to me. I know that during free time you should just do what you want but I also want culturally improve myself. I don't know if I should force myself or not to do something. I'm guessing a little bit of force should do me good but I really don't know. How do you think I should approach this?

Are you familiar with e-books? Basically, digitized books (ideally: files with an "epub" extension) that can be read in Calibre. Calibre runs on all computer platforms, and even has a headless server mode where you can run it on a your own cloud server and read the books on a e-ink tablet such as Kobo. There are shadow libraries that have nearly every book published. You can find them easily. You can read anything ranging from light fiction to textbooks. The latter means you could do all the work of a degree without spending a penny, then get the actual degree cheap and fast (various options). Or just read for enjoyment.

Apologies for replying to myself but I would like to add something to address OP's wish to have fun, and that reading textbooks might not be his idea of fun (although it is for me). Light fiction and textbooks are not all you will find in the shadow libraries, there are also nearly all the self-help books ever published, on a myriad of topics familiar to readers who have visited this board: how to make friends, lovers, be smarter, saner, healthier in mind and body, and so on. More than you could read in a lifetime.
