I live in The Netherlands. There is no wild. None-kill traps is a good idea

You think they just live forever in your walls? Chances are if you see mice you already have dead ones in your walls

They travel along walls. You already know the route. You do not need any bait to attract attention from insects. Simply put a trap that he is bound to walk over.

Set a trap; borrow a cat; run away screaming.

If it were me I would set live traps (the kind that capture the mouse without hurting it), take them away and release them. Because I'm soft-hearted.

If you are going to do this:

- It's crucial to put food in the trap that contains lots of water (apple, for example) otherwise the mouse may die very quickly from dehydration.

- Check the traps frequently!

- When you let the mouse go, you need to be a lot further away from your home than you probably think - at least half a mile away, preferably a mile - otherwise they may come back.

- In some countries releasing a mouse in the wild is illegal, so be tactful.
