Is semen proof of natural selection? Only the strongest sperm gets the egg.

... but did they also get the egg couple months ago when they were like $10?

Funny that you posted that creature, they have one of the weirdest looking penises in the animal kingdom.

>strongest
Luckiest*, it's literally about being among the firsts in the race and being lucky enough to find a hole in the thing to dig in.
It does have a selective aspect tho, as it basically prevents weird/broken spermatozoids from reaching the egg most of the time.

No. In fact, being "the strongest" is bad. You see, sperm "attacks" the outer wall of the egg to weaken it, expending its energy, so in actuality the lazy fuck who arrives late has a better chance.

Aside from defective specimens, Spermatozoa are not different from each other, they carry the exact same information, differences start occurring during cell division when the embryo is already formed

They do not carry the exact same information, in mammals at least it's a random half of the parent DNA. In some eusocial insects like honeybees the males are haplodic and have half a set of chromosomes and identical sperm.

No because I got the egg and I'm a depressed failure.
