The road crews came by my area recently to prune the overhanging branches on people's property and for literally half the trees they cut they basically removed everything except the stump.

I think they hired some new retard that didn't understand that his job was pruning and not deforesting

Yeah they fucked up my street a couple years ago like that. Nothing I could really complain about since my property is like a triangle that barely has any road frontage, just the driveway, but one of my neighbors got quite pissed and it turns out they were way over the line of how far they should go.

Now it's filling in nicely with Japanese knotweed.... hooray!

That's all good and well unless you work nights (like me) and have to drive through rural bumfuck nowhere during your commute (like me). I can't tell you how many times I've felt my soul jump out of my body when it's a foggy morning and I'm on my way home only for a deer to jump out in front of my car, forcing me to stop. Even worse part is that I live near the Appalachians so every time I have to hear stories about Wendigos or NotDeer or whatever it puts me the hell on edge every time I have to drive to work.
