I had to put my old cat down after 17 years which was devastating and I never planned to get another pet, but a stray started hanging around for meals so I gained her trust enough to get her in a cage to be checked for a chip, which she didn't have. I've adopted her and she became cuddly as soon as I took her in, following me everywhere and not wanting to be alone. It seems like she must have been a pet to switch out of wild mode instantly. She doesn't want to leave my house so she's been stray for a while if so.

She doesn't trust anyone else but adjusts to visitors quickly. My sister tried making kitten noises to get her attention. She walked across my lap right up to my sister's face and hissed at her.

my parents cat keeps bringing live mice to the house. Why he keep doing this? They want dead mice not live ones.

This is how to actually adopt cats

Also, if you find a chip, use an nfckill or flipper zero to disable it. Giving a cat back to someone that's going to let it outside again is animal cruelty.
