Why does it seem like this animal in particular is so subject to rediculous ways if dying?

My cousin had one that flew into the ceiling fan and had a crippled wing and broken leg. It lived quite awhile after but couldn't fly or stand up/perch/whatever.

My parents got me a green one as a first pet. I lost interest in it pretty quick and it eventually just sort of stopped making noise. It lived a long time considering how often I forgot it existed.

That's sad. They imprint on people so it literally thought you were its one and only.

I have one, he is about 4 and he is very clever. It's genuinely sad people treat them like goldfish, they are very sweet animals. Not all of them like being petted so I think that's where people treat them like dirt.
