ausfag here, 25 years I've never left this shithole, and before I die, I want to take a trip to the US and find a lake that has one of these guys, around sunset or rise, loons have to be the most beautiful sounding creature on Earth and I hope I don't die before I get to sit lakeside and hear them across the water

They're more abundant in Canada but you can find them here in NH on many lakes and ponds. Often it's ones that are mostly residential or harder to get to, but there's some Audubon owned properties that usually get them.
