They look like cute bear + dog hybrids, but I won't own or even pet one because they are basically Chinese Pitbulls along with Shar-peis.

I'd pet one at a dog show because show dogs are usually pretty tolerant about petting. They're one of those dogs like dobermans that I'd never pet outside of a show though

Are there actually people out there who can keep track of how many chow chows they pet per day? I would guess I pet 30 or 40 a day, but it's not like I keep a log or anything.

I know which webm you are thinking of, that wasn't a chow. That vid was either a tibetan mastiff or a long coat caucasian shepherd tearing at its throat, more likely the mastiff from memory.

It was a very unfair fight honestly.

I don't think that was the vid >>5009635 saw. There was a vid that used to make the rounds in pitbull rekt threads a lot of a dogfight between a pitbull and a tibetan/caucasian. The t/c just stands there on chain while pitbull is straining and pulling on his owner's chain on the otherside of some yard or storage facility. The two men let go and the pitbull immediately rushes the t/c but his shoved back before getting pinned as the t/c has it by the throat. I don't quite remember what happens afterwards

Yeah, because other dogs are way better at fighting to dominate. They always signal aggression and go for pinning their opponent down to show absolute dominance.

Where pitbulls win is when the other dog thinks they've won and turns their bac. Then, the pitbull shows its true colors:
They want to kill and eat the other dog.
