Do you ever tell your pets complete nonsense like this? I'm a bit concerned that my pom is going to grow up seriously confused about how the world works.

not my pets (I don't own any).
but I tell my neighbor's aggressive dog that if he behaves and don't bark, I'll give him candy. I give him a few sugar cubes, the he gets the zoomies, get goes to sleep for a few hours (no barking).
I've been giving him about 10 cubes a day for 2 months now
