Any small herbivore will do this. Not just rodents. Even some large herbivores do some of this, but it is a biological necessity for any herbivore that does hind gut fermentation and that doesn’t have at least 15 meters or so of intestine. Fire-gut fermenters (ruminants, etc) avoid eating feces by regurging and rechewing “cud”, ie vomit.
