Sorry too much to put in text but it's not the standard crop death argument
Crop deaths do seem to cause more suffering and death then grass fed pasture raised beef
So they fail utilitarianism

They also seem to lead to more rights violations because of all the wild herbivorous animals that are killed that aren't even attacking crops

So unless vegans are advocating for people to starve to death I see a contradiction

Why don't vegans focus on making synthetic food out of inorganic material like rocks and sand?

There is not much human empathy in vegans to begin with. They are not a broad spectrum compassionate about life. Just this narrow spectrum they consider themselves personally responsible for. What the farms do they don't care about as long as they're not eating a dead animal which again is an incredibly narrow and callous way to view ecosystems or life in general.
