It's not. This is sovereign citizens tier nonsense. Emotional support animals don't have any legal protections whatsoever. Only actual service animals for people who are like blind. But it's become commonplace these days for people to claim that their animals are service animals so they can take them anywhere and disrupt public settings. Dogfuckers are getting completely out of control with this shit. To the point where people are just openly rejecting service animals in their establishments and saying fuck the consequences.

It's for the fair housing act and reasonable accommodation with disabilities and is legally relevant to landlords, but isn't free reign to take the pet anywhere but your home. Service animals are different and require specific certifications and have way more concessions regarding use in public.

I had an emotional support animal. Believe me there is no such law. It has to specifically be a service animal to be protected under law. Otherwise everyone can just do whatever the hell they want. If they say no pets your emotional support animal isn't going to breach that decision. If you have an actual service animal that's different and they can get sued. Service animals and emotional sport animals ARE NOT the same thing and they don't have the same protections. Again, this is something that dogfuckers started with their batshit insane entitlement and then they've convinced the whole country that this just works if you have a bullshit ID you printed out on your computer. It doesn't. Only the law matters. Not what headcannon you made up for why your dog is allowed to go to the restaurant with you.

So the reason guide dogs are allowed is, in addition to helping blind people, they are very specifically trained to behave well in public, right?
Sounds like the solution is to require that emotional support animals are equally trained, like ensure they only do their job of comforting the owner and not do disruptive cat or dog things.

They should be so we can take our dogs into the cabin. If I have to fly next to screaming babies, people should have to fly next to well behaved dogs.

People are allergic or afraid of dogs. Not everyone wants to look at your ugly stinky animal. I would ban babbies on flights too if I could. Sadly I can only work on banning dogs. Who also shouldn't be in cabins too or on trails as they mess with local wildlife. Not like selfish dog owners care though.

>oh noooo the heccin dog scared a deer!
good. animals should be afraid to come near any place humans frequent.
>people are scared of dogs!
people worth keeping around can get over it.
