Central East Coaster here (suburb)

What is the better attractor of diverse birds? My neighborhood has a relatively high bird population as is, but having them come to eye level is another matter.

Also don't want my padio/house covered in bird shit

A set of feeders can attract multiple species of birds in as many numbers as the little fucks will fit. A bird house will have a pair of house sparrows/starlings in it.

just plant a bunch of seedy/fruity plants that attract birds instead
