I wish to express here why, in my opinion, Islam and Christianity present fundamentally opposing visions, and why I consider Islam to be a flawed doctrine.

In Islam, Jesus (called Isa) is an important prophet, but he in no way corresponds to the Jesus of Christianity. For example:

In Islam, Isa will return to Earth for a period of 7 years, whereas in Christianity, Jesus will reign for 1,000 years after his return.

Islam denies the crucifixion of Jesus: Isa was not crucified, whereas in Christianity, the crucifixion is central—Jesus died on the cross for the sins of humanity.

Jesus, according to the Bible, is the Son of God. But in Islam, Allah has no son, and this claim is even considered blasphemous.

The birth of Jesus in the Gospels takes place in a stable, while in the Quran, Issa is said to have been born under a palm tree.

Jesus came to preach forgiveness and love of one's neighbor, and he never took up arms, whereas Muhammad, in Islamic sources, ordered assassinations, waged wars of conquest, and married several women, some of them captives or already married, which deeply shocks me.

Furthermore, in Islamic traditions, Issa is said to return at the end of time to break the cross, the fundamental symbol of Christianity. This symbolic act alone is enough to show that Issa and Jesus are not the same person. One came to give his life on the cross, the other would come to destroy it.

For all these reasons, I cannot recognize the message of Christ in Islam. I see a profound opposition between the person of Jesus as revealed in the Bible and that of Issa as presented in the Quran.

His original message, the Injil, would have been entirely falsified, to the point that it no longer exists today. Nothing remains of it.
