1997 was the best year in human civilization

In 1997 all human bones were snapped and progress ground to a halt. The poor didn’t heal and their bones were mangled for life. Many chose suicide. The lucky upper classes decided to build monuments to the tragedy which were sadly destroyed in the megaquakes of 2000
