Drilling is important, it instils control and a great group mentality, without it troops would stagnate.

If troops can't do basic marching, then they were poorly trained in other areas. Do you think they spend time on a range to perfect their aiming? Very unlikely, while the disciplined forces 100% did.

The US is lucky the American army isn't needed anywhere, because if a war broke out and the US was a part of it... these are the people going to fight, the ones slouching and can't march correctly.

This is why the US relies on long range warfare.

Every branch of the military (well except Space Force maybe?) has an honor guard. Servicemen and women who are trained to put on parades and shows and look damn good doing it. The fact that the army didn't send an honor guard and instead sent some normie soldiers in fatigues communicates something very relieving and important to the American people: the military isn't playing along with Trump's retarded bullshit, and they don't endorse this fascist regime using the military as a spectacle.
