Solo leveling is unironically the worst anime i have seen in years. Its is edgy, has no humor, the animation is poop, the concepts could have been good but they managed to fuck it up badly. Its one of the cringiest anime i have ever seen and i don't get why its so popular. I heard the manhwa had really good art but the anime is total slop.

So... a standard longrunning shonen anime then?

Because it is popular and my friend told me to give it a shot. I suffered through 8 episodes before i had to quit. I also generally like these types of anime but this is just dogshit.

I don't mind the grinding aspect at all, in fact that is what i expected but i barely got anything of that in the first 8 episodes. He killed a few monsters, then he was suddenly level 18 or something and killed a big ass spider and 6 dudes. Wow, so much grinding! This is not really the main reason i dislike it, the overall quality of the anime is just so bad.

Also i get skipping over a lot of the grinding but going from like level 3 to level 18 is a crazy skip, i would have expected a skip from level 18 to level 30 at most. Especially for an anime that makes me thing "grinding" is involved.

Yeah like you expect grinding and they just shove everything up his ass. He went from weak fragile boy to level 100 god in a few episodes, thats not how grinding works usually. This is not my main problem with the anime but it contributes to why i dislike it.
