because I was already questioning my gender years earlier
I played with girls more than most boys, I tried on my sister's clothes, I got my ears pierced at 7, all to look more like a girl
I was reading a National Geographic magazine around the time with an article about Native American two spirits and thought "that kinda sounds like me"
my mom said she "saw a girl in my eyes", and I just generally didn't do a lot of boy stuff like sports
I was curious about men dressing up as women in movies like Ms. Doubtfire, and I realized I like feminine men around age 10, and grew my hair out to look like a girl
and fortunately or unfortunately, depending on how you want to look at it, I discovered trans porn at 9
that's when I realized "oh, these are boys who became women, that's how I feel"
this is why we need better education for children questioning their gender identity because discovering you're trans through porn is not how things should be
I'd much prefer proper education, and introducing these concepts for sex-ed like I had in 4th grade because it would have saved me decades of suffering
