Reminder that the Soviets would've been partners with Nazis if Hitler hadn't attacked Russia in Operation Barbarossa. Stalin literally fired advisors who warned him a Nazi invasion was imminent because he so trusted Hitler and the Nazi regime. USSR lost hundreds of thousands because Stalin wasn't prepared at all and thought it unreasonable to have to prepare.
