>>936008524early in the war, Germany never planned to kill all of the jews, they planned to round them up in Europe and move them east of the Urals
later, that became infeasible due to the turning tide of the war, especially on the Soviet front
most of the jews who died after having been rounded up died of malnutrition, typhus, or other diseases
incidentally, the Zyklon B was intended to be used an a pesticide to prevent the transmission of typhus by insect vectors in the camps
anyway, late in the war, after the British and Americans had bombed the shit out of German rail and road infrastructure (as well as destroying much of Germany's industrial base, including through war crimes like the firebombing of Dresden), it became difficult to get food and medical supplies to the internment camps
the same starvation and disease that happened in the German camps would have happened in the American internment camps where Japanese citizens were held prisoner had American infrastructure been devastated the way Germany's had been
but Germany was losing the war, so history ended up with photos of American and Soviet troops freeing starving jews from German camps instead of German and Japanese troops freeing starving Japanese from American camps
the victors write the history books, as always
