Fuck porn threads. Let's have a real random thread. What's your favorite bird where you live? My favorite bird is the indigo bunting. Their blue color is more beautiful and I love just chilling in the woods watching and listening to them sing.

They're common, but they live high in forest tree tops so they're not seen very often. It looked like a laser beam zipping around. Saw a female this year, but they're yellow/brown & kinda plain

I like masturbating to animals, especially birds, because they're naked all the time. They're just kind of asking for it. Thanks for the porn and showing me naked animals like they were intended to be.

Nice bird. There was a junco with red feathers here today. I like the crows and the juncos. I like all the birds really. Stellar-Jays are also cool, as are the humming-birds. Personable birds all around.
I've also seen bald-eagles, hawks and very large birds here gliding high I cannot identify. They were flying from the north headed straight south on the winds. There were eleven of them, and even the smallest of them were larger than any bald-eagle I have seen. They were a glossy darker brown, somewhat similar to golden eagles. The largest I am estimating had a wingspan of 16 to 18 feet. They might have been what Natives called "Thunderbirds". I don't know. I live in Washington State.

Gray Jays in Alaska.
I love these fluffy little fatties.

The picture doesn't really capture the magnitude of their rotundness before winter. It's a miracle they fly at all.

I was just gonna post that I can hear verry thrush right now. They make a sound like there's a laser war in my yard, then they make a call that sounds like someone swinging a hollow tube

Neat. In the east around Labrador they're bigger & thinner. Never have seen a fat one before

There are no vultures here, and I know what I saw. I have a very keen eye for measurement, and also their form did not match the form of a vulture. Not even close.

I never claimed to have seen anything like that, although during my time in California, I did see birds (much, much smaller) which match the expected shape and form of a pterodactyl.
What I saw here in Washington was something akin to Native American legends of "Thunderbirds".
They had the form of eagles, but longer, denser feathering and a glossy dark-brown coloring.

I think the dinosaur-looking birds I saw in California were Cormorants, or another bird that looks similar. I don't recall what my friend said they were.

Their silhouette looked so much like pterodactyls, we began calling them 'dactyls for fun, but they were well-known locally. Ordinary things become extraordinary when they are seen for the first time, like seeing a car or an airplane for the first time.
I know what I saw in both cases however.

Probably the great blue herons that show up during the summer. The egrets that stop in are nice as well.

That said, fuck those red-wing blackbirds. Territorial pricks.

Whether you believe me or not, it's what I saw. I only wanted to share, but perhaps that's unwise.
No matter the time-period, the extraordinary tends to be rejected.
Despite this, I hope you see something incredible one day too.

We used to have these near a bend in a creek near a family owned cabin. They are magnificent.
