Polls put Christianity at 62 to 67% of the country. We’re not going to beat these numbers. Face it, people fear death and more importantly they fear being cast into hell so they won’t be giving up their afterlife insurance anytime soon. I wish it were otherwise but it will never be. You're creating an unprincipled exception around "religion" for no other reason than that it doesn't go where you want it to go. Christians have exactly as much right to try to advocate for their own beliefs as socialists, liberals, or any other group. It doesn't even occur to those other groups if they have a right to enforce liberal or socialist principles on society at large, so why should I worry about it?
