>>936099442The thing with Dexter is, it kinda wraps up after season 4, at least thematically. The showrunner wanted to end it at season 5 but Showtime had them locked into a crazy contract. It doesn't perfectly resolve but I would say just watching seasons 1-4 (and 5 is fine if you're curious) is a satisfying show. I stopped watching during season 6 and felt I got a full show out of it. Season 4 is excellent.
If you do watch btw the pilot is a bit retarded. Some people don't mind it but if you do, just push through it. It's like way edgier and feels like it's written by a 14 year old at points but the show rebalances itself essentially immediately after that.
