It does help to reduce temps a lil bit but rises humidity levels a lot. I do the same on a smaller scale in my grow tent rn.
What I do is splash the outside walls and windows with buckets of water when the sun is around the corner, that cools the whole wall down through evaporation.
It's a bit of an effort but, yeh, better than dying from heat.
