I think he was definitely a bit snobby with his reviews, but only a bit. He'd give movies like Bigger, Longer, and Uncut or The Devil's Rejects the time of day, but he'd still look down his nose at Kick-Ass and Kick-Ass 2 (which I'm pretty sure were violent films that tried to showcase the negative effects of violence, which seems to have gone completely over his head).
That said, he was one of the only film critics worth reading.

Honestly I kinda hate to admit it but ebert is probably right. I'd 100% want to watch a ebert rated flick out of anyone you can come up with to debate him about why this movie is stupid but he still liked it. I mean sometimes I go back and see movies I thought I fucking hated and it was like that was absolutely fucking amazing in a specific way that is hard to tell someone it's just like cool as fuck. I mean I'd want to see mystyery science theatre 3000 actually have to compare notes to ebert on a movie. Of course the robots are going to look dumb but someone is going to make a hologram program of ebert doing that and I'm pretty sure the movie is going to suck.
