Reddit sucks because the demographics of the site are like 80%+ college kids / high school kids. So it's incredibly ultra-left leaning. The site is also set up so that the most popular opinions are not only the first visible (look into solomon Asch research on comformity), but comments rated low enough are "hidden." The idea being that they're going to protect people from the harm of seeing unpopular opinions.

TL;DR - 4chan is a bunch of smart people pretending to be retards and Reddit is a bunch of retards pretending to be smart people.

Reddit was good. But it quickly became an echo chamber of retards who had mods that reinforced a hive mindset. If you didn't agree you would get downvoted and/or banned from a sub. As it is reddit is a lost cause. Completely unhinged rhetoric reinforced by wacko mods.
