Why do people hate Al art so much?

most people don't care
artists and retards on social media do because they see it as a threat to their jobs, but it doesn't matter as they will mostly be replaced anyway no matter how much they cry about it

I don't care about it anymore, what I care more about is other forms of AI that despite being infamous for providing factually wrong information and halucinating (aka. making shit up) seem to be pushed into every industry possible. It's only a matter of time until AI mistake/halucination causes some loss either financial or human life and there's gonna be a massive panic.
I won't deny LLMs have a potential to be a great tool but just a tool anf not the saviours of humanity they are trying to sell us. Maybe that's the main source of this hate they market it as the best thing since sliced bread while in reality it's improved and glorified Microsoft Tay.

I love getting stoned and making A.I. stuff. I don't consider it real art. I would never pay for it.

And since I'm stoned I usually end up making weed themed stuff.

A lot of cool stuff comes out. There's a lot of garbage but like 1 in 8 is cool enough to save.

A.I. art is very reminiscent of dreams to me. The times are getting weird.

OMG, yes! We've been there with photoshop and 3d art, and with cinema, photography and printing press before that. Even fucking sokrates complained how writing destroyed oratory and theatre performance.

It's funny because, I'm an artist and I love it. How can my fellow artist not appreciate instant masterpieces?! Sure it needs a little more work some times, but in a few more months it won't and it's already mind blowingly good. Embrace the next step in this reality.

AI is the most egregious by far though. It destroys art at a fundamental, level. A level of definition.
Because even a photography has to wait for the right time. For plants to grow, for seasons to change, etc. AI artists type a string of words and if it isn't what they want ask an LLM what is missing. The machine itself is the artist and the human is closer to the tool. Totally bizarre.
Still don't hate them. I know too many that were aspiring artists and treated like manure by "successful" ones. Artists are usually quite pathetic.

The fact that they're willing to put themselves in severe debt to, at best, slightly redesign some corporate logos is so ridiculous. I have never once feared for the stability of my job. It can't be done by AI in any capacity, and it would take Sci Fi tier robots to replace me. Reading their angsty posts about not getting commissions is my favorite way to get an easy laugh.
