If you read Trump's statement you'd know. Both sides get to fire their already scheduled missions and within 12 hours the whole thing will stop.
If I were him I'd have added that any country sending nukes to Iran will have those shipments intercepted by us and face serious trade sanctions and other sanctions.
Personally I'd like to see the Mullahs fall from power in Iran but that might take a larger war.

He said the ceasefire was agreed in advance, like they always are. Current operations are on going.
The only time a "ceasefire" is immediate is when there's an unconditional surrender and even then small holdsouts keep fighting. Like after WW2.
At the end of WW1 there was an agreed ceasefire. People in trenches was still being shelled before and after 11am because you can't just stop it all immediately. The only thing you can do is prosecute military actions that have been planned and or executed after the ceasefire.

Political science was my minor, and I've been telling people "this was about the Nuclear sites. A full on war is too expensive for everyone. Iran especially cant handle much of a response. There will be some missile exchanges.

And for some reason, being told by someone literate who actually wrote papers on this sort of thing "good news, you dont have to be scared, this isnt world war 3, and the US isnt going to be invaded because that's especially ridiculous" makes people really, really angry.

People are just reacting, there's no actual solid foundations for them, there's no morality, ideals, goals or anything for individuals. Most people are just doing what the computer algorithms tell them to be upset, angry and happy about.

It doesn't take a political science course to know that letting a state that is the cause for legitimate terrorism across the planet for generations, get a nuke is bad. It doesn't take someone with a brain to know that blowing up a nuclear facility with precision bombs rather than nuking the area is a deliberate act to not cause a war.
