large explosion, that i assume both the victim and the observe can hear. the Leidenfrost effect will keep the victim alive as they sink below the surface, once the magma/lava has penetrated a large cavity say the chest the rapid expansion of steam is lighter than magma/lava and screams up creating a low pressure zone under the steam bubble lifting large amounts of lava with it. i estimate depth under the lava to be measured in feet not inches before the victim is dead. soo first the victim sinks then as the magma/lava erodes all the skin the victim is rapidly lifted; victim death during or just after lift bubble pops as it reaches the surface flinging lava every where.

She fell down the cliffside. She didn't get anywhere near lava. The toxic fumes didn't kill her and the fall didn't immediately kill her since she was alive for 3 days. Most likely died from a combination of dehydration and internal bleeding
