In my neighborhood, one guy's dog barks to be let inside at night and it can be heard if you leave the window open or if it wanders around closer to my house.
Another neighbor has a well trained dog that never runs into the road and will wait at the corner of the property and watch me approach while I'm jogging. When I get close she will sometimes let out an excited bark and run with me until reaching the end of the property.
The neighbors cows also trot after me and moo when I run along their fence. This neighbors dog also is excited to see me when I run by and will run out into the road to get pets. Not a big deal on a road where tractors drive by with about the same frequency as cars.
