China is a dystopian nightmare in so many ways, but the US is the most heavily propagandised nation in the world, with its entire entertainment media, religions, political commentary, and society repeating the same lies, again and again.
"they hate us for our freedom"
"land of the free"
and so on - in the nation with the most prisoners by far - prisoners who are legally allowed to be used as slave labour.
then there's the vilification of unions, so they have the worst working conditions of any first-world country, their healthcare, their debt and poverty, and the percentage of the nation one paycheck away from homelessness or bankruptcy. the literacy level where 53% of the nation has the reading capacity of a 12-year old, the fact that right now masked goons are kidnapping citizens off their streets on a daily basis...
and still they lap up the "america number one!" nonsense, as they commute to their 2nd full-time job...
And they will defend their dysfunctional system, because they've been indoctrinated into it for the last 80 years, to the point that they will actively support policies which harm their well-being constantly. That's how powerful American propaganda is.
