Everyone cares about themselves-This is true, and some people are more selfish/self absorbed than others.
However, you are looking at a false/extreme point of view. I don’t know everyone you met but I can bet that someone you know has at one point at least attempted to care for another person.
I suggest you try and do something completely selfless for another person today if you can. It may be difficult , but focus on helping others and not on yourself/others helping you.
