It is weird though to link stats from England and Wales to counter a claim about American Republican male politicians and their sexual crime rates. And per capita stats are actually relevant, because they can show when there is something going wrong within smaller communities in a country, and where resources are best used. For instance, by the per capita stats shows it would be absolutely silly investing in interventions to stop women from sexually assaulting men.
