should i attempt to get my landlords fired from their jobs cause they kept my $800 deposit ? they're 100% not gonna get away with this. I'm trying to think how to get even. I think writing a simple email to their employer will be enough

I wish..I actually cleaned everything before i left. That's why I'm actually mad cause I could have saved time and effort by not being so diligent and making sure i didn't destroy the place. Wiped down all 3 ceiling fans. Just not right

You fixed all damages to carpet, walls, windows, sinks, toilets, bathtubs etc?
They can withhold your deposit for multiple factors I suggest looking at your lease agreements
That being said you are a renter so unlikely to find any lawyer that would take your case.
Tl;Dr
You're fucked

>Normal wear and tear.

If you can't prove the damage was done before you moved in you won't have a chance.
Unless you're apart of a renters union which is really unlikely.
You also will be paying out the ass for a lawyer that's even willing to take your case.
But good luck.

Their employer? LOL, it was surely the boss' idea. You're not getting the deposit back. Everyone knows that going in. Were you really dumb enough to be depending on that money?

hahaha, you'll not be getting 'even'. Tough shit.

you're allowed to deduct a reasonable amount for damages from the deposit as long as it's documented.
