This, it's not about the homes themselves, its about the fact that it's nothing but homes for 3 miles in every direction and you are completely dependent on a car for everything. The idea of not being able to do grocery shopping with a car, or kids not being able to get to school without a car etc is absolutely insane. I always wondered why DUIs were such a big thing in the US until I realized you can't even go to a bar/club/etc without a car and there's no public transport to get home so you basically have no other options than driving home drunk. Cars are great. Cities being designed to make you dependent on them is not.

Here's the real problem: you basically have a little ass lawn that is JUST fucking big enough to be a fucking pain in the ass with a push mower, but too fucking small to use a riding mower on, and it's always in inhospitable climates to grass where you MUST water that stupid ass shit. And if you don't take care of it the HOA Karens come for you.

Which is the real hell behind these: HOAs. Replaces actual niggers with wiggers on a power trip, but hey, your property value supposedly stays high - so long as you can find a sucker for your stupid shit.

The road is designed for 4 car wide space, so two rows of curb parking, and 2 lanes for driving. The sidewalk shit is so that there is space between the road and walk so dumbshits can't pop the curb and kill you.
