The centuries have actually proven that one particular "religious text" has been accurate and valid throughout the centuries. I'm speaking of the prophecies of the Bible. Biblical prophecies have ALL come to pass. The prophecies of the Messiah's birth, ministry, crucifixion and resurrection were accurate to the exact year and season--500 years before they happened. The rise and fall of the world political powers, and the breakup of the Roman Empire into multiple smaller nations were foretold hundreds of years before they happened and in the exact order that they rose and fell. The end-time prophecies are coming to pass exactly as the Bible writers foretold more than 2000 years ago.
It is YOUR thinking and YOUR rejection of those facts that is retarded; and your attitude and that of others like you is, itself, a fulfillment of biblical prophecy:
"Because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold", "lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God";
"as it was in the days of Lot, so shall it be at the coming of the Son of man" [return of Christ].
If you studied the Bible and history, and archaeological reports instead of just repeating misinformation that you've heard or read that was written by people with loud opinions but no facts to back them up, then you would know that there is ample evidence that backs up the Bible and its validity, historical and spiritual.
Your acceptance or rejection of God and His word is entirely up to you; but if you reject the Truth, then you should prepare yourself for the consequences of your actions.
I feel sorry for you! It's YOU who is "retarded", and you whose beliefs--or lack of beliefs--lack any foundation whatsoever. You're sealing your own fate by your own choices.
