I spent 10 years suicidal, very often, and generally just miserable.
My primary issue was that I did not attempt to drop thought and reprogram, I just milled through it as it flowed through me and made me progressively worse.

People saying 'think positive' did not make sense because there was nothing to be happy about, but it is about reprogramming logical pathways in neurology, not finding things to be happy about.

Drop bad thoughts until you get good at it, then you can catch them when you spiral out of control before it begins.

This will not make you feel happy, but will prevent you from getting worse by your own failure to adapt.

Adapt or perish

When you master this, your level of immunity over time will increase as your neurological balance returns, then you will start to get happy, after some time has passed.

So, two options.
1. Do not listen; maybe end up killing yourself.
2. Listen and have a focus that works, which can immediately give you hope.

Whatโ€™s the point of sticking around if the absolute best you can hope for is putting negative thoughts out of your mind before they get you down too much?

I so envy people who can have such shit lives with shit jobs listening to shit music and watching shit movies surrounded by shit people and somehow find joy in it. Going to a music festival, dancing without it feeling forced and genuinely having a good time. I wonder if they know how fucking lucky they are to be normal.

>Whatโ€™s the point of sticking around if the absolute best you can hope for is putting negative thoughts out of your mind before they get you down too much?

The point is .. You do not let yourself be a victim of biological error; you take charge, then comes confidence and a new perspective that fixes are within your grasp. Because of this, you can weather the usually temporary depression and see that it is a state of mind, not a consequence of your life. WHEN YOU FIGURE IT OUT PROPERLY, YOU WILL NOT BE SAYING WHAT'S THE POINT? YOU WILL BE SAYING HOW DO I NOW BECOME BETTER AT MY OWN MENTAL HEALTH?

The point is hope; this can replace your woe.

Alternatively :

1. Choose a focus that is internal.
Say neurology. (This way, you will not focus your mind on logic loops that entrench depression by believing worldly factors are to blame.)
2. Understand that perception of statistically insignificant outside events relative to the majority of time and space is to be reasoned, not reacted to.
This means getting data about statistics whenever you find a situation that drives you towards feeling spite, hate or paranoia. (You will find with enough study that the vast majority of time and space is free from the concern you fear)
3. Establish that what you feel is not relative to what you know.
This means you feel bad, but the data is merely coincidental to it.
4. Develop a new avenue of interest every time you find yourself at a dead end.
This means you will not have the time to negate all of the above steps with a simple lack of mission and corresponding lethargy.

These are off the top of my head. I did it this way in a roundabout way; it is hard and not obvious, but after the depression has gone, these things are clear.

I have a unique perspective because I could not put my paranoia and depression down to an actual cause, so either I was under attack or my neurology was faulty.

The world is only input, the output of mental error is the cause of depression. EVEN IF ATTACKED BY DEMONS OR MK ULTRA TECHNIQUES.

>Going to a music festival, dancing without it feeling forced and genuinely having a good time.

I have felt that way about dancing for a few seconds in my life, I can relate.

Rarely do I feel anything about anything, but that is not depression. That is just a general numbness to emotion. If you see it as miserable when in fact it is centerline balance, you will spiral into upset. IT IS AGAINST THE DUALITY OF NATURE TO SEE BALANCE AS DARKNESS. You will be chaffed if you keep that up.

I am content because I do not get miserable and suicidal. Some people are supposed to see the world like Spock, not Kirk.

If you do not care to listen because you cannot muster hope, you get the fall you ask for and will possibly face suicide in the future.

Thing is, I donโ€™t think it is poor mental health. I think itโ€™s just logical to think that everything is shit. Nothingโ€™s new, nothingโ€™s changed, just sliding into world war 3 to the soundtrack of mumble rap and a bizarre country/pop revival.

If you spent 25 years in a mental prison like me, you might change your mind when released.

Even when nothing matters, everything can.

It is a choice to decide how you want to view the life you have left, as a tool for advancement or a stagnant pool of simply going through the motions.

You do not need to do what others do, like what others like, or be a friend to those who also see the pointlessness of being a friend to yourself and strive to be better, whatever the adversity.

Consider the things you control and stop focusing on the things you do not to get closer to peace.
