mechanical engineering does require a lot of deication, at least over here
there's many hours of desperately struggling to lear difficult stuff
there's none who make it through university without at least some setbacks
the first few years are particularly unenjoyable since it's mostly basics, which both dry and hard
later things get more application-oriented, with concrete technological ties, so it's more interesting and in fact easier if you're so-inclined
You need to have decent endurance or it'll go wrong.
The pay isn't *that* good either tbh.
