My Rhodesian ridgeback gets a mohawk all the way from her neck to her tail if she detects lions (mountainlions here) or niggers or large trucks (trash guy) and barks to warn me of the danger and growls like the most vicious beast at the threat until proven safe.
But she is a well trained sweetheart who only wants to enjoy the couch, treats, and tail scratches and has never been actually mean to anyone except for one dog who made the mistake of licking her butt after sniffing (she is a LADY and will not stand for such offenses) and got an earful for his trouble.

Not this fucking beast holy shit my wife is a shepherd owner (nothing sexual) but she is like weirdly obsessed with german shepherds and can't seem to live without them. As soon as one dies she just buys a new one. She's on her fourth at this point which makes 2 so far for me with who knows how many more in my future as I'm powerless to put up any sort of fight on this. So the dogs are cool enough whatever they're dogs the things that suck are the unholy fucking amounts of goddamn dog hair in every fucking corner of the house and just as bad are the giant mushy craps these beasts lay they don't have normal dog shit it's too goddamn soft and hard to pick up with a bag. I have to like rip out clumps of grass to get it all it's fucking gross.

Over all for personality, Retrievers. Golden Retriever is most common. You have to be very careful not to get one that was inbred or from a line that was overbred. You get a very low quality dog with both physical and personality issues. Thats the problem with getting an extremely popular breed.

German breed (Not American Breed) German shepord. Over all intelligent and level personality. Its a working dog, so you have to keep them active. If your a couch potato that doesn't even interact with the dog to work its mind, you will have issues. Consistently bored working breeds of any kind get into trouble and cause problems around the house just to do something active.

Poodle is also a good, smart and well rounded dog. Hair breed rather than fur, so they don't shed. Have to cut their hair and groom them often. Common issue with hair breeds.

I have one of each right now, and a Belgian Malinois.
I almost always have 3 dog, some combination of husky and German shepherd. I don't mind a bit of fur in the house, and floors need to be cleaned even without dogs around.

He has good days and bad days. Same diet every day. I think the problem is my stepson sneaks him table scraps and shepherds really do not do well with any sort of deviation in their diets particularly pizza crusts and shit like that. My shih tzu has an iron stomach but the shepherd is super sensitive and the slightest thing gets him all messed up.

Most large or giant breeds, medium breeds are mostly a no. You might get lucky with an unusually large border collie but anything smaller and slimmer is right out. Sight hounds like afghans and borzois are a clear no.

And of course any dog has to be intact which rules out 99% of the dogs in USA unless you sneak into the nearest crackhoude and try your luck with Cujo here

Naw you have to be really careful because the mechanics of our junk are very different! Male dogs have a long thin bone inside their dicks that allows them to penetrate while flaccid, and then they swell up while inside the female.
