All accounts point towards them being fragile little useless pieces of shit though so y'know. I'd drive one if I won it in a contest or something I guess.

The hype hit a brick wall real fucking fast. About as fast as that shot put sunk into that side window.

>Does this thing deserve the hate it gets?
In a way, yes. Its body is one welded piece, so if it gets hit in an accident, its basically totaled. Other cars, you can replace the bumper, the quarter panels, etc. The entire body has to be replaced. Same, if the rear welds break from towing something. The car itself seems to be Ok, as far as modern cars go. Most new cars today have massive problems, failures and breakdown issues, so the Tesla's problems aren't unusual for a modern car. Ford for example is having massive warranty issues across several new vehicle models. You can easily google the tesla truck collision repair problems and the towing weld failure issues.

Hell yes, and if the towing company thinks the battery was damaged in the collision, most towing companies wont even tow it. They don't want the car on their trucks or in their lot. This goes for most EV's. Fire hazard that even Fire Departments don't want to touch. Its dam near impossible to put out a EV battery fire. Burn far to hot and creates its own oxygen which makes the tons of water the fire department is using, next to useless.

The only things I've implied so far are that the Cybertruck is kinda crap and that even taking that into account it receives a disproportionate amount of hate. I've said nothing about the rest of the Tesla lineup, but if asked would probably agree that they are above average cars. This just proves that even the best manufacturers are capable of firing out a turd every once in a while.

The cybertruck is no different than the other options for Tesla. They’re all pretty uniform, all pretty much the same. You just have to find out which package suits your lifestyle. Most won’t say a cybertruck and that’s why the model y is one of the best selling cars this year alone
