It's not just the heat; it's also the humidity. The only respite is that, at some point in the evenings (usually around 5PM), there's a chance that it starts storming, and the cooler wind blows away the heat. Sadly, that is not the case today.

I'm with you but I'd put winter at the very top. Summer has always sucked. The heat, the fucking LIGHT. Only like 6 hours of total darkness. I can't deal with it. All of my upstairs windows are covered and I live in night as much as I can. I sleep until 5 pm and go to bed at 7 or 8 am, avoiding all of the daytime, heat, and light that I can.

Just sucks when you have important banking or something to do on the world's "normal" 9-5 M-F bullshit timetable.

Luckily I live in an area always about 10 degrees cooler than other parts of my state. It never gets too hot or too cold because we're on a river near the ocean. But for that two weeks a year, and we're in it right now, it gets between 80 and 85 some days and that's too fucking hot for me. And yet not bad enough to install AC because the heat never lasts. Just like it's too rainy to have a convertible here too. I LOVE the special pocket of rainforest climate we get here, but that hot part of summer just blows.
Makes me so glad when I check the climes of other parts of the world and they just live in fucking dense heat for like 9 months a year. Like Australia or the desert. All 90 degree days for months on end. I guess you all have AC there and just stay out of heat like it's rain. But there must be poor people who just suffer. Or are so acclimated that they don't see it as suffering. They just wear little and sweat all damn day because that's their life. Oof!

Not a LARP. Here's a pic of that instance, in fact (from Rock Island). You can see Davenport across. It only looked like it was frozen completely over, but there was no way I was walking out there. This was in the winter connecting 2008 to 2009.

People who whine about winter and summer are soft and usually don't spend any time outside and complain about the most miniscule of time outside. Also, it's just your typical 4chan edge to try and be different and say "summers are for normies" like nobody likes fucking fall.
