Can't relate, I have an AC.

If anyone needs a good fan I recommend this one. Been using it daily for 4 years and it blows just as well as it did on day 1.

If anyone needs a DOGSHIT fan I recommend this one. Used it for 2 summers and it ground to a halt because the motor is total garbage and burned the fuck out. If you need it for 20 minutes a day, maybe it'll last.

Right now I use a meacofan, which I adore. Fuck cheap fans, they suck.

It isn't worth it for the sake of a week a year. I get it, if you live somewhere hot where it stays hot for months, air con is great. So far this year I have had 2 days I considered uncomfortable.

I had an old Lasko fan from the 90s. It was like an industrial floor fan, made out of 100% metal. Turning that motherfucker on high would instantly cool a room by like 10 degrees. And I ran that thing 24/7 for like a decade straight. One day I dropped it really bad when moving it and it broke.

I have never been able to fine a replacement fan that is even half as good as it was. Every new fan is just dogshit.

Yeah, the new stuff is all cheap plastic, and the old stuff was made before energy regulation mandates that turned everything fake and gay.

I still like my newer fan though. Does it go up to turbo speeds? Is it 20 inches across and built for cooling down building sites? No. But I can barely hear it on the low settings, because it's 25db.
