Trump and his dumbass party, however, fucked up by running a campaign with a promise to release the files if he was elected. Now that he's elected, they're trying to backtrack hard. He thought he could just gaslight everyone, even his own fanbase, to forget all about it, and is stuck scrambling for a solution.
The reason why it wasn't talked so much in the Biden administration is because they weren't stupid enough to run a campaign making a false promise that would most likely incriminate both the left and the right.
