it's 1am and i am awake worrying about work but I don't get paid for it because I'm salary

My friends wife who literally only ever worked for the government will have a 90% of base salary pension from the US taxpayer until she dies. From 50-death……$100k/yr + full medical. That pension is worth millions of dollars. What do you, the taxpayer funding it get?
