i read a horrifying thing about "echoborgs" and how humans are horrible at judging if an individual is operating on their own free will. even when we are expecting that the person is being controlled we apparently will still fall for it. we basically just default to thinking that person is autistic if they seem off. the basic premise is just someone repeating the words that an ai chat bot tells them too. essentially letting the ai control them.
