Just found a $500 2021 supplemental tax rebate check that expired after 1 year issued june 2023 man I have no clue how that happened. Hopefully I can still cash it or get my $500. Im fucking Ill

Contact the main tax # and tell them you still need it mailed to you with the current year. Sometimes they are so confused they will do it. Or they will confirm that it doesn't expire.
Gov loves to go after people for not paying $50, but if they owe us 3k, we won't hear a peep

that 500 was just an advertising gimmick by the government, to trick people into buying more and more cars so they can just claim more money.

don't try to cash it or who knows what will happen. the irs could try to charge you with check fraud. contact the irs or whatever agency issued the check and let them know the situation. even if they try to issue the refund it'll probably take a while.
